Red Velvet Protein Doughnut Recipe



3/4 cup white rice flour

3/4 cup almond meal (fine almond flour preferred)

1/2 cup Red Velvet Cake PlantFusion Complete Protein

1 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup flax milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon beetroot powder (for color – optional)


Vanilla Glaze (optional)


2 cups powdered sugar

¼ cup coconut milk

1 tsp coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla extract



Preheat oven to 350


In a large bowl, mix together the Red Velvet PlantFusion Complete Protein, almond meal, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.


Add the flax milk, vegetable oil and vanilla. Stir to combine.


Pour the batter into doughnut molds and bake until light and fluffy to the touch, approximately

15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.


Top with glaze or toss with powdered sugar (optional).
